I am the Head of Breast Medical Oncology at Valley-Mount Sinai Comprehensive Cancer Care in Paramus, NJ and a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York.
I started the INTERLUDE podcast as a way to share the stories of women who have been affected with cancer as a way to provide support, inspiration, encouragement, hope and strength to other women who are also going through similar experiences.

I see patients at Valley Hospital (Luckow Pavilion in Paramus, NJ). I specialize in treating women with breast and gynecologic cancers (all treatment modalities are offered at our facility). I also see women who are at high risk of breast cancer to discuss risk-reduction strategies (both through medication and lifestyle choices). It is well-established that lifestyle choices (such as diet, weight, nutrition, alcohol, smoking) contribute to our risk of developing cancer both in the near and distant future and I address those risk factors to come up with a comprehensive program to reduce your risk.
I am passionate about women’s health and believe that empowering women to truly understand their diagnosis (whether it’s breast cancer or a benign but high-risk diagnosis from a breast biopsy) is critical. In all new patient consultations, a considerable portion of time is spent on education as well as a focus on overall health (going beyond the particular diagnosis).
