Tammy was diagnosed with breast cancer about two years ago and was treated with surgery, chemotherapy and one year of Herceptin. On today’s episode, she talks about how she decided on her choice of surgery (lumpectomy versus mastectomy), her reaction at surprising pathology results and needing to have chemotherapy, exercising and nutrition during chemotherapy and beyond, the effect of her cancer diagnosis and treatment on her children and her marriage and finally, how she is using social media to build a community.

After listening to today’s episode, I recommend checking out her blog at The Pink Survivor. Tammy is a personal trainer and has some great workout videos on her website and YouTube channel (link through blog).
